KUWAIT CITY, July 20: The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced it successfully completed its ninth consecutive night of military strikes against Iran, with the latest operation concluding at 6:00 a.m. Kuwait time (10:00 p.m. ET on July 19).
According to CENTCOM, the strikes targeted Iranian military command centers, air defense and coastal surveillance sites, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch locations, and communications networks. The operation was aimed at further degrading Iran's ability to launch attacks against commercial vessels and civilian mariners transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
CENTCOM said the U.S. military is holding Iran accountable under the direction of the Commander in Chief, adding that its forces remain on high alert and are prepared to continue operations while maintaining readiness across the region.
