US citizen held with 1 kilo marijuana

KUWAIT CITY, June 1: The General Department of Narcotics Control, led by Colonel Mohammad Qabazard, thwarted an attempt by an unidentified US citizen to smuggle one kilo of marijuana into the country, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the contraband arrived into the country via a postal parcel. Investigations conducted by security authorities concluded that the main suspect lived in Mangaf and after getting permission from the Public Prosecutor the suspect was arrested in possession with the contraband.
During interrogation the suspect admitted to the charge and gave police the name of his Kuwaiti partner who was picked from his residence in Surra. On the other hand, personnel from the drug control department have arrested a Sri Lankan for trafficking in shabu. He was arrested in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and police have seized from his 100 rolls of shabu, each weighing one gram.
