TAMPA, Sep 17: US Central Command (CENTCOM) said Thursday that its forces have redirected 104 commercial vessels as part of efforts to enforce the US blockade against Iran.

In a statement, CENTCOM said the forces were continuing to ensure strict compliance with the blockade as operations remained underway in regional waters.

The command also released an image showing an F/A-18F Super Hornet launching from the flight deck of the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) as the aircraft carrier operates in regional waters.

CENTCOM said the carrier continues to support enforcement of the US blockade against Iran.

The figure of 104 redirected commercial vessels is the latest update provided by CENTCOM as US forces maintain maritime operations aimed at enforcing the blockade.
