And she added, “We have celebrated the 30th anniversary of the liberation of Kuwait, and the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our two countries, and we are continuing our efforts to promote our common goals in food and health security, regional security, culture and education, as well. “We stood together to evacuate thousands of people from Afghanistan, in one of the most complex military, diplomatic, and humanitarian missions in US history, and we did it together during an unprecedented health crisis. “I would like to extend my sincere thanks to His Highness the Amir and the Kuwaiti people for their hospitality and the strength of our bilateral partnership,”

Romanowski said, adding that “this enduring relationship between the United States only grows stronger when we work together.” The US Ambassador concluded her speech by saying: “I have been honored to work to represent my country as the eighteenth US Ambassador to Kuwait, and I am excited to begin my new job as US Ambassador to Iraq, but I will have many beautiful memories from my time here. I will miss many things in Kuwait, especially the Diwaniyas, the delicious food culture, and the many friends I made while I was here. For that, thank you very much, Kuwait, and in the safety of God.”
