‘Uproot all illegal shacks erected on Kuwait land’

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 18: As part of an ongoing effort to address unauthorized use of state-owned land, the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, and the Public Authority for Housing Welfare, launched a comprehensive field campaign targeting the Tayma and Al-Sulaibiya areas. According to an official statement from the Ministry, the campaign led to the removal of several illegal structures and encroachments on public property. Authorities also detained multiple individuals of various nationalities found operating unlicensed commercial activities on state land. The Ministry further announced that final warnings have been issued to residents of homes found in violation. A strict deadline has been set: all encroachments must be cleared by September 15, 2025, to avoid legal repercussions.
