KUWAIT CITY, May 2: Authorities have uncovered an unlicensed carpentry workshop operating inside a camel pen in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, as part of ongoing security campaigns led by the Ministry of Interior.

The Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh authorities carried out the operation in coordination with the Operations and Patrols Department. The case came to light after officers stopped a suspicious half-lorry transporting wood. During questioning, the occupants revealed the existence of an illegal carpentry facility within a nearby camel enclosure.

Security personnel moved swiftly to the location, where a joint inspection—conducted in cooperation with the Public Authority for Youth and Sports—confirmed that the site was being used both as an unauthorized carpentry workshop and as accommodation for workers, in clear violation of labor and residency regulations.

The individuals involved were detained for breaching residency and labor laws, with deportation procedures now underway. Authorities also issued violations against those responsible and ordered the disconnection of the site's electricity supply.

The Ministry of Interior reiterated its commitment to intensifying security campaigns across the country, stressing that it will take strict action against any illegal activities and violations of the law.
