KUWAIT CITY, May 9: The Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality announced that the inspection team from the Capital Governorate recently carried out an intensive joint campaign targeting shops in the bird market located in the Al-Rai area. The operation was conducted in coordination with the Environment Public Authority, the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources, and the Ministry of Interior. The objective was to enforce regulations and take necessary legal action against violators.

Acting Deputy Director General for the Capital and Jahra Governorates Sector, Engineer Nizar Al-Awad, stated that the campaign aimed to intensify field inspections to identify various types of violations and ensure strict adherence to municipal laws and regulations, particularly in industrial zones.

As a result of the campaign, two shops were shut down, and nine violations were recorded. These included operating a shop without a municipal license and unauthorized street vending.
