KUWAIT CITY, Feb 12: In a dramatic late-evening operation, the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) announced the arrest of several workers accused of practicing medical professions without licenses during a joint inspection campaign in Hawally.

The raid targeted a medical center and was carried out in coordination with the Criminal Investigation Department, the Ministry of Commerce, and the Ministry of Health ( including the Licensing and Drug Departments ) as part of ongoing efforts to tighten oversight of the labor market and health sector.

Authorities revealed that while the center was officially licensed to operate solely as a dermatology clinic, inspectors uncovered multiple unlicensed medical activities on the premises. These included a women’s and maternity clinic, a dental clinic, as well as hair treatment and hair transplantation services.

Investigations showed that three separate clinics were operating on the first floor, while hair transplant procedures were allegedly being conducted discreetly on the ground floor without proper authorization.

During the coordinated raid, officials discovered a number of workers practicing medical professions without obtaining the required licenses. A total of five violations were recorded, and legal action has been initiated against those involved in cooperation with the competent authorities.

PAM affirmed that joint inspection campaigns will continue across the country to safeguard public health, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and curb violations within the labor and medical sectors.
