UN Nuclear Watchdog Confirms Damage to Iran’s Khondab Facility

TEHRAN (AP), Mar 29: The International Atomic Energy Agency said on Sunday that satellite imagery confirmed severe damage to the Khondab heavy water production plant near Arak.

The agency noted that the facility does not contain any declared nuclear material. Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization had earlier reported that the site was struck, while Israel claimed responsibility for the attack.

The development comes amid ongoing hostilities, with multiple strikes reported on nuclear-related sites across Iran since the conflict began a month ago.
