Umrah trip organized for 39 minors

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 15: The Public Authority for Minors Affairs conducted an informative session yesterday for participants in the Umrah pilgrimage for the year 1445 AH, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Engineer Hamad Al-Barjas, the Authority’s Director, emphasized that supporting religious and social activities is part of the Authority’s commitment to fostering religious and educational awareness, ensuring favorable conditions for minors and those under its care to fully engage in Umrah rituals.

Al-Barjas highlighted that the Umrah pilgrimage, scheduled from Jan 29 to Feb 2, will include 39 minors, both male and female, accompanied by their mahrams under the sponsorship of the Authority. The delegation will also consist of supervisors and administrators.

The administrative team accompanying the group comprises professionals from the Charitable Thirds Control Department, the Social Welfare Department, and the Public Relations Department.

Al-Barjas mentioned that the delegation will distribute Qur’an copies, prayer booklets, pamphlets, and remembrances, offering instructional sessions to elucidate the Umrah rituals. Moreover, bags containing necessary supplies will be distributed.

He clarified that the Umrah pilgrimage is an annual initiative organized by the Authority for minors under its care, subject to specific conditions and aligned with the annual plans related to religious activities.
