UK Reaffirms Support for Kuwait in Call With Crown Prince

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 3: His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received a phone call on Thursday from Keir Starmer, during which both sides discussed bilateral relations and regional security developments, according to the Kuwait News Agency.

During the call, the Crown Prince conveyed greetings from the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to King Charles III, expressing appreciation for a message supporting Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, and stability, reflecting the close historic ties between the two countries.

The UK Prime Minister reaffirmed Britain’s strong condemnation of repeated attacks attributed to Iran and expressed full support for Kuwait’s security and stability. He also discussed ongoing arrangements related to the deployment of British air defence systems in Kuwait, stressing the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz, and continued coordination to safeguard regional stability.
