UK Chargé d’Affaires Stuart Summers meets Palestinian Ambassador Rami Tahboub following landmark recognition

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 23: UK Chargé d’Affaires Stuart Summers met Palestinian Ambassador Rami Tahboub following UK recognition of the State of Palestine. The meeting followed the United Kingdom’s historic decision, announced by Prime Minister Keir Starmer on 22nd September 2025, to formally recognise the State of Palestine. During their discussions, Mr Summers underlined the UK’s firm commitment to a two-state solution as the only viable path to achieve peace, security, and dignity for both Palestinians and Israelis. He also stressed the UK’s determination to work with international partners, to support efforts towards lasting peace and regional stability.
