H.E. Qudsi Rasheed, British Ambassador to Kuwait
KUWAIT CITY, March 14: British Ambassador to Kuwait Qudsi Rasheed addressed the British community in the country, acknowledging the anxiety felt by many British citizens as the regional conflict enters its second week amid the ongoing uncertainty. In a video published on the social media platforms of the British Embassy, Rasheed pointed out that although attacks from Iran are continuing, their frequency has decreased significantly. He commended the Kuwait Armed Forces and other relevant authorities for their tremendous efforts in maintaining the safety and security of everyone, indicating that Kuwaiti airspace
He also advised those wishing to travel to obtain an electronic visa in advance whenever possible. He added that flights from Saudi Arabia to the United Kingdom, both direct and indirect, remain available, confirming that a number of British citizens recently returned home through this route. He said that meetings have been held with members of the British community – including the British Business Forum, administrations of British schools, and members of the British Armed Forces and their families – to listen to their concerns and keep them informed on the latest developments.
He affirmed that the embassy team is working around the clock to support British citizens, assist them during emergencies, and help them navigate the current situation. He added that a series of explanatory videos will be released to respond to frequently asked questions. He urged anyone requiring urgent assistance to contact the embassy and to continue trying if they are unable to reach it, wishing that everyone is safe and well.
