ABU DHABI, May 9: The President of the UAE Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan has reaffirmed the United Arab Emirates’ full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain following the uncovering of what Bahraini authorities described as an organization linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed condemned the group allegedly connected to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and the ideology of “Velayat-e Faqih,” or Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist, in cases involving espionage and support for what the statement described as “treacherous Iranian aggression.”
The UAE foreign minister voiced full support for the measures taken by Bahraini security authorities, praising their “efficiency and vigilance” in uncovering the organization and initiating legal action against those involved.
Sheikh Abdullah stressed the UAE’s rejection of all forms of terrorism and organizations linked to foreign agendas, underscoring the importance of strengthening regional and international cooperation to confront security threats.
He also emphasized that the security of Bahrain is an integral part of the security of the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, reiterating Abu Dhabi’s support for all measures taken by Manama to preserve national security, stability, and social cohesion.
The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions and increased scrutiny of alleged Iran-linked networks operating across the Gulf.
