UAE Says Iran Ballistic Missiles Targeted Maritime Navigation, Fell Into Sea

ABU DHABI, Aug 18: Two ballistic missiles launched from Iran toward the United Arab Emirates were targeting maritime navigation and fell into the sea, the Ministry of Defence announced following technical assessments.

The ministry did not specify the exact location where the missiles landed or provide details about potential damage or casualties.

In a statement, the ministry affirmed its readiness to respond to any threats and to resolutely counter any attempts to undermine the country's security or the safety of maritime navigation in the region. Officials emphasized their commitment to safeguarding the UAE's sovereignty, security, and stability while protecting national interests, assets, and resources.

The ministry also urged the public to obtain all information from official authorities and to avoid spreading rumors and misinformation.
