UAE  Reports No New Threats in Past Hours, Says Situation Under Control

ABU DHABI, Apr 9: The UAE Ministry of Defence said its air defence systems did not detect any ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, or unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iran on 9 April 2026, confirming that the country’s airspace remained free of air threats over the past hours.

The ministry said that since the onset of what it described as Iranian attacks, UAE air defence systems have intercepted a total of 537 ballistic missiles, 26 cruise missiles, and 2,256 drones.

It added that no injuries were recorded in the most recent period, keeping the total number of injuries at 224, involving individuals of multiple nationalities. The ministry also confirmed that no additional fatalities were reported in the past hours.

According to the statement, the overall death toll remains at two martyrs, in addition to a Moroccan civilian contractor with the armed forces, bringing total civilian fatalities to 10.

The ministry reiterated that the UAE remains in a state of full readiness to respond to any potential threats, stressing its commitment to protecting national security, sovereignty, and stability.

Officials said defensive systems continue to operate at high alert levels to counter any attempted attacks and safeguard civilian and strategic infrastructure across the country.
