DUBAI, April 16: Dubai International Airport (DXB) faced operational disruptions on Tuesday morning due to adverse weather conditions, confirmed by Dubai Airports. The inclement weather led to delays in both arriving and departing flights, affecting normal operations.

In a statement provided to Gulf News, Dubai Airports disclosed that a total of nine outbound and eight inbound flights were canceled, with three flights diverted to neighboring airports. One of the diverted flights has since returned to DXB. The airport authorities assured that they are actively collaborating with service partners and airlines to minimize inconvenience for passengers.

Flydubai, a prominent carrier in Dubai, also acknowledged the impact of adverse weather conditions on its flight schedule at DXB. The airline stated that they have canceled some flights and are experiencing delays. Efforts are underway to mitigate disruptions, with coordination efforts ongoing with all airport stakeholders.

Passengers were advised to monitor flight statuses closely and allow extra time for travel to the airport. Emirates Airlines cautioned travelers about potential delays on roads leading to DXB, emphasizing the importance of planning ahead. Similarly, Etihad Airways acknowledged the possibility of flight delays and encouraged passengers to check directly with their respective airlines for the latest updates.

Furthermore, passengers were advised to utilize Dubai Metro for smoother transit to the airport. The statement underlined the importance of staying informed about flight statuses and taking necessary precautions amid the challenging weather conditions.
