UAE, Qatar Temporarily Close Airspace Amid Regional Tensions

Dubai/Doha, Feb 28: The United Arab Emirates announced the temporary and partial closure of its airspace on Saturday as an exceptional precautionary measure to ensure the safety of flights, crews, and the country's airspace amid heightened regional tensions.

The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) said it is coordinating closely with relevant authorities and will provide immediate updates as developments occur.

In a separate statement, the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority confirmed the temporary suspension of air navigation within the State of Qatar as a safety measure, also citing regional security conditions.
