ABU DHABI, Mar 9: The UAE Ministry of Defence reported that air defence systems today detected 15 ballistic missiles, successfully destroying 12 while 3 fell into the sea, alongside intercepting 17 of 18 detected drones with one landing inside UAE territory.
Since the onset of what the ministry termed "blatant Iranian aggression," UAE defences have intercepted 233 of 253 ballistic missiles (with 18 falling into the sea and 2 striking territory), 1,359 of 1,440 Iranian drones (81 landing domestically), and all 8 detected cruise missiles.
The announcement underscores the UAE's ongoing robust aerial defence operations amid sustained regional attacks.
