UAE Intercepts 6 Ballistic Missiles and 21 Drones Launched from Iran

ABU DHABI, Mar 16:  The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence said air defence systems intercepted six ballistic missiles and 21 drones launched from Iran on March 16 as regional tensions continue. Since the start of the attacks, UAE defences have intercepted 304 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,627 drones, the ministry said.

The incidents have resulted in the deaths of two armed forces members and five civilians of Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, and Palestinian nationalities, while 145 people have been injured with varying degrees of severity. The ministry added that the armed forces remain on high alert to confront threats and safeguard the country’s security, sovereignty and stability.
