UAE Intercepts 6 Ballistic Missiles, 7 Cruise Missiles and 39 Drones

ABU DHABI, March 11: The UAE Ministry of Defense said the country’s air defense systems intercepted multiple aerial threats launched from Iran on March 11, including six ballistic missiles, seven cruise missiles, and 39 drones.

According to the ministry, the latest interceptions come amid a wider escalation, with United Arab Emirates air defenses having dealt with a total of 268 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,514 drones since the start of what officials described as Iranian aggression.

Authorities said the attacks have resulted in six fatalities of Emirati, Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi nationalities, while 131 others of various nationalities suffered minor to moderate injuries.

The ministry affirmed that the armed forces remain on high alert and ready to confront any threats targeting the country’s security and stability, stressing that all necessary measures are being taken to safeguard national sovereignty and protect vital interests.
