The United Arab Emirates on Monday denied reports that missiles had targeted Al Minhad Air Base, calling the reports false amid heightened regional tensions.
The UAE Ministry of Defense said the country’s armed forces remained on high alert to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty, security and stability, and urged the public to rely on official sources for information.
The denial came after Iran’s military said it had launched dozens of explosive drones toward Al Minhad Air Base, identifying US personnel and helicopters stationed there as its intended targets.
The Iranian claim followed a US strike on Iran’s Larak Island, which Tehran said killed and wounded several fighters and civilians.
