ABU DHABI, Jun 28: The United Arab Emirates on Sunday strongly condemned renewed Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait with missiles and drones, describing them as a violation of their sovereignty and a threat to regional security.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks represented a “flagrant violation” of Bahrain and Kuwait’s sovereignty and threatened their security and stability.
The ministry reaffirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with Bahrain and Kuwait, expressing support for all measures taken by the two countries to protect their security and preserve regional stability.
Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned what it described as a renewed Iranian attack, saying the kingdom was targeted again with ballistic missiles and drones on Sunday, June 28.
Bahrain said the latest attack confirmed its previous warnings that Iran had continued its actions despite international condemnation and commitments made earlier. It added that repeated attacks would not change realities on the ground or weaken Bahrain’s resolve to defend its sovereignty.
Meanwhile, Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence said its forces detected two hostile ballistic missiles entering Kuwaiti airspace early Sunday and successfully intercepted them according to established defence procedures.
Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs separately condemned what it called repeated and “heinous” Iranian aggression against the country, reaffirming its commitment to protecting its territory and national security.
