ABU DHABI, Mar 31: United Arab Emirates authorities have reassured residents that the situation is now safe following earlier alerts of a potential missile threat.
The country’s Ministry of Defence confirmed that the sounds heard across several areas were the result of ongoing operations involving the interception of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Officials said air defence systems were actively engaged in neutralising the threat.
Earlier, residents received emergency alerts urging them to seek immediate shelter as a precaution. The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) also confirmed that air defences were responding to the situation.
Authorities have since urged the public to remain calm, follow official safety instructions, and rely on verified sources for updates.
