ABU DHABI, Mar. 13: The United Arab Emirates announced that air traffic across its airspace and airports is gradually returning to normal operational levels following the professional management of exceptional circumstances affecting the region.
According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) said more than 1.4 million passengers were served through the country’s airports between March 1 and March 12.
GCAA Chairman Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri said the aviation sector successfully maintained the continuity of air transport operations while ensuring the highest safety standards for travelers during the recent regional developments.
The authority added that 7,839 air traffic movements were recorded in UAE airspace during the same period. Meanwhile, UAE national carriers have restored about 44.6% of their normal operational levels, reflecting the sector’s gradual recovery and return to regular flight operations.
