ABU DHABI, Mar 7: UAE air defenses intercepted 15 of 16 ballistic missiles and 119 of 121 drones launched today, March 7, 2026. One missile fell into the sea, while two drones landed within UAE territory.
Since the onset of Iranian aggression, 221 ballistic missiles have been detected—205 destroyed, 14 in the sea, and 2 on land—alongside 1,305 drones, of which 1,229 were intercepted and 76 fell inside the country; all 8 cruise missiles were also destroyed.
These attacks have resulted in three deaths among Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi nationals, plus 112 minor injuries across Emirati, Egyptian, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, and Turkish nationalities.
The Ministry of Defense is on high alert, fully prepared to counter threats and protect UAE sovereignty, security, stability, interests, and national capabilities.
