ABU DHABI, Mar 30: The Ministry of Defence UAE announced that air defences successfully intercepted 11 ballistic missiles and 27 UAVs launched from Iran on 30 March 2026.
The ministry said the latest interceptions come amid continued aerial attacks, bringing the total number of threats engaged since the escalation began to 425 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,941 UAVs.
Authorities confirmed that the attacks have resulted in casualties, including two members of the armed forces killed in the line of duty, along with a Moroccan civilian contractor. Additional fatalities were reported among multiple nationalities, including Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, and Indian citizens.
The ministry added that 178 people were injured, with cases ranging from minor to severe, including residents and workers of diverse nationalities across the country.
Reaffirming its position, the Ministry of Defence stated that the UAE remains fully prepared to confront any threats and will continue to protect its sovereignty, security, and stability while safeguarding national interests and capabilities.
