ABU DHABI, Mar 28: The UAE Ministry of Defence confirmed that the country’s air defence systems and fighter aircraft are actively engaging incoming missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) threats launched from Iran.
In an official statement, the ministry said that sounds heard across parts of the country are the result of air defence systems intercepting missiles, while fighter jets are simultaneously working to neutralize cruise missiles and drones.
Authorities urged residents to remain calm and follow safety instructions issued by relevant agencies as operations continue.
The ministry reaffirmed that the armed forces remain fully prepared to respond to any threats, emphasizing their commitment to safeguarding national security, sovereignty, and critical infrastructure.
