Two youths, taxi driver held for drugs; 4 parcels of marijuana seized

KUWAIT CITY, April 11: Two youths were arrested in Jahra area in possession of hashish, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to security sources, Jahra securitymen were patrolling the area when they noticed two youths driving a vehicle recklessly. Securitymen stopped the vehicle and checked it to find hashish. When they checked the details of the vehicle, they discovered that it was reported as stolen. The suspects were referred with the drugs and the stolen vehicle to the concerned authorities for necessary legal measures.

Meanwhile, a taxi driver was arrested for driving under the influence of hashish and heroin and for possessing two sachets of heroin and cigarettes filled with hashish, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling the area when they saw a taxi being driven recklessly. They stopped the taxi and found the driver behaving in a disoriented manner. They checked him to find two sachets of heroin and hashish cigarettes. The suspect was arrested and referred with the drugs to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him

Customs officers at Kuwait airport arrested an Asian man in his attempt to smuggle into the country four parcels of marijuana concealed inside his traveling bag. He was referred to relevant authorities. In a related story, the officers apprehended an Asian man who wanted to smuggle 124 bags of canned liquor hidden in his luggage. He was referred alongside the items to the concerned authority.
