KUWAIT CITY, Dec 7: The Jahra Governorate Committee in the Municipal Council recommended during its meeting held under the chairmanship of member Abdullah Al-Enezi, to approve the request of the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport to allocate two sites to collect rainwater to protect lowcost housing in the Jahra Governorate and Amghara along the Muharraq Road from torrential rains, reports Al-Qabas daily.

With regard to the first site about low-cost housing, the committee stipulated that coordination be made with the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fisheries Resources to benefit from rainwater, adhere to security and safety requirements, and perform periodic maintenance.

The committee decided to approve the request of the Ministry of Electricity to allocate a site for a water filling station as an alternative to the site of the existing station, which is in conflict with the Kuwait Medical City project affiliated to the Public Institution for Social Security in the East Amghara region.
