Two Saudi National Guard Officers Killed in Helicopter Crash in Najran

RIYADH, Oct 18 : Two officers were killed when an AH-6 reconnaissance helicopter belonging to Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of National Guard crashed in the Najran region inside Saudi territory, the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced on Sunday.

Coalition spokesman Major General Turki Al-Maliki said the helicopter crashed due to a technical malfunction.

The announcement confirmed that both members of the helicopter’s crew died in the incident.

In a statement issued on Sunday, October 18, the coalition expressed condolences over the deaths and prayed for mercy for the officers and patience and solace for their families and loved ones.

The statement did not provide further details about the circumstances of the crash or identify the two officers.
