Two Saudi Airports Take A Hit, Three Injured

RIYADH, Oct 6 : Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said Monday that King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jazan and Najran International Airport were targeted in two separate attacks.

The attacks occurred on the evening of October 5, 2026, the authority said. Emergency teams and relevant authorities immediately responded in accordance with established emergency procedures. GACA said the attacks caused material damage and left three people with minor injuries. The injured were taken to hospital for medical treatment.

The authority said it is coordinating with security agencies to assess the damage and take necessary measures to protect passengers and airport employees and maintain the safety and security of Saudi Arabia’s civil aviation system.
