KUWAIT CITY, Aug 2: The Misdemeanor Court convicted two defendants of evading arrest, helping one of the defendants escape and misusing communication devices, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The court made this decision after the closing argument presented by Attorney Ali Hassan Al-Hussainan, lawyer of the victims and the civil plaintiff. The court confirmed the defendants’ criminal responsibility based on the solid evidence and circumstantial proof presented in the case file. It then imposed the legally prescribed penalties on them. Al-Hussainan stated that the verdict is an embodiment of the role of the Kuwaiti judiciary in upholding the rule of law and dealing with all forms public order violation. He added that the crimes committed by the convicted defendants are considered an attack on the dignity of the law and an obstruction of justice
