KUWAIT CITY, Apr 29: Two Kuwaiti citizens, aged 24 and 19, were killed in a fatal two‑vehicle collision that occurred yesterday in Jahra, while two others — a 27‑year‑old Kuwaiti and a 22‑year‑old Gulf national — were injured, according to initial security reports.
The crash, described as “horrific,” prompted an immediate response from security personnel and ambulance crews who rushed to the scene to manage traffic, secure evidence, and transport the injured to the hospital. Medical sources said the two survivors sustained multiple fractures and are receiving treatment.
A case of a two‑vehicle collision resulting in death has been officially registered at Taima police station as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
In a separate incident reported today, a Kuwaiti man filed a complaint on behalf of his sister, who was struck by a vehicle in the Shaab residential area. She was transported by Hawally ambulance crews to Amiri Hospital.
The report named the driver as a Kuwaiti citizen, who told investigators he did not know the victim. He said he was surprised when she suddenly crossed in front of the vehicle and that he attempted to avoid hitting her but was unable to prevent the collision entirely. Investigations into that case are ongoing.
