Two Kuwaitis among many to be executed before Ramadan

KUWAIT CITY, April 8: The Public Prosecution, in coordination with the concerned authorities, has started its proceedings to execute a number of convicts in various crimes prior to the holy month of Ramadan, reports Al- Qabas daily quoting informed sources. They revealed that the convicts to be executed include two Kuwaiti citizens.

Indian beaten: Prosecution has ordered an investigation into the complaint which has been filed by an Indian at the Adan Police Station, reports Al-Anba daily. In his complaint, the Indian identified only as Asghar (29 years old) told police five men barged into his home, assaulted him brutally and detained him at the Al-Zahr Police Station for a short time. The men then drove him to an open Area in Fahaheel, removed two SIM cards from his cellphones and drove off.

Delivery boy robbed: Police are looking for four unidentified youths for assaulting and robbing an Indian restaurant worker, reports Al-Anba daily. According to the victim the suspects stopped him when he was on his way to deliver food. They beat him and stole the meals costing KD 8.200, KD 52 cash and the cellphone. The victim has been admitted to the area hospital with deep cuts on the lips and face and fracture in the shoulder. The Indian has submitted a medical report to substantiate his claim.

Woman assaulted: Police are looking for an Arab who reportedly broke into the home of a Kuwaiti woman because she refused to open the door for him, reports Al-Anba daily. He then verbally abused her, beat her and escaped. The woman has submitted a medical report showing bruises on the back and knee. A case has been registered at the Fintas Police Station. The daily did not give more details of the incident.
