Two held, vehicles sent to crusher for reckless driving and obstructing Kuwait traffic patrol

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 27 : The General Traffic Department’s Security Control Department arrested two individuals for reckless and irresponsible driving that endangered the safety of road users in the Al-Wafra agricultural area, the Ministry of Interior said.

According to the ministry, one of the suspects deliberately obstructed a security patrol while the other attempted to escape. The incident came to light after traffic officers spotted a vehicle being driven without license plates and making disturbing noises, accompanied by another vehicle whose driver interfered with the patrol’s work. Investigations led to the arrest of both individuals, and officers found a video recording documenting the first suspect’s reckless driving.

Traffic violations were issued against the two suspects and, after the necessary legal procedures, they were referred to the Central Prison. Both vehicles were also impounded for violations involving reckless driving, negligence and endangering the safety of road users under Article 33 bis of the Traffic Law.

The General Traffic Department warned against reckless driving and obstructing security patrols, stressing that monitoring and follow-up operations are continuing to identify violators and take legal action to protect road users.
