KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24: Farwaniya support patrols have arrested a Bedoun (Stateless) after he was stopped on suspicion of driving erratically, while a separate incident in Jahra led to the arrest of another illegal resident and an ongoing search for a fugitive Kuwaiti citizen.

According to a security source, patrol officers noticed a vehicle swerving on the road, prompting them to stop the driver for inspection. Upon questioning, the driver appeared disoriented and confused, raising further suspicion. A search of his person revealed five Lyrica pills and three electronic shisha heads containing a synthetic substance commonly referred to as “chemical.”

The suspect was immediately taken into custody, and legal action was initiated against him. He was subsequently referred to the General Department for Drug Control for further investigation and necessary procedures.

In a separate incident, Jahra police referred another Bedoun to the General Department for Drug Control, while efforts are ongoing to locate a Kuwaiti citizen who had been accompanying him and managed to flee after resisting arrest.

The security source explained that a patrol had become suspicious of a vehicle after observing unusual behavior by both the driver and his passenger. When officers stopped the vehicle, they found the two occupants in an intoxicated condition. During the inspection, the driver resisted arrest and had to be subdued by force. Taking advantage of the ensuing commotion, the passenger fled the scene to an unknown destination.

A search of the vehicle uncovered three packets of crystal meth, rolling paper, and a sharp, golden-colored knife. Further checks confirmed that the driver was a Bedoun (stateless). He was taken into custody and referred to the competent authorities, while investigations continue to track down the fleeing suspect and determine the full circumstances of both cases.
