KUWAIT CITY, Sept 11: The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate Investigation Department, has arrested two Bangladeshi nationals in connection with a drug trafficking case and seized quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the case began when security personnel became suspicious of an individual in a vacant lot. A search found narcotics and psychotropic substances in his possession.
During questioning, the suspect reportedly confessed to storing the drugs at the vacant lot and sending their locations to another person for collection. He then led detectives to five locations, where additional quantities of narcotics were seized, along with further substances found inside his residence in Mahboula.
The suspect also confessed to obtaining the drugs from an Asian national whose identity he initially claimed not to know.
Investigations subsequently led detectives to identify the second suspect and arrest him at his residence in Mutlaa. Narcotics and psychotropic substances were also found in his possession.
The Ministry said the following items were seized from the two suspects:
- 33 sachets of marijuana, weighing approximately 46.4 grams
- 175 sachets of methamphetamine, weighing approximately 182.4 grams
- 7 sachets of heroin, weighing approximately 5.8 grams
- 85 Captagon capsules
- 178 Lyrica tablets
- 6 bags containing A4 paper soaked in chemicals
- 3 pregabalin scales
- Various drug-related paraphernalia
The suspects and all seized items were referred to the competent authorities for the necessary legal action.
