KUWAIT CITY, Oct 11: Detectives from the Jleeb area have arrested two Asian nationals on suspicion of stealing copper cables from homes that had been vacated by their occupants.

According to a security source the two suspects had allegedly been carrying out the thefts recently, targeting homes after their occupants had moved out. The suspects reportedly collected the stolen copper cables and other items before attempting to sell them in the scrap market for money.

The source said the suspects were apprehended by Jleeb detectives in connection with the alleged thefts. A photograph accompanying the report showed the two suspects alongside the seized items.

Following their arrest, the two men were referred to the relevant authorities, which will take the necessary legal measures against them.

The case highlights the security concerns surrounding vacant residential properties, which may become targets for theft when left unoccupied. The suspects' guilt, however, remains subject to the applicable legal proceedings.
