Two Asian Women Arrested with 15 Kilos of Marijuana

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 16: In a collaborative effort between the General Administration for Drug Control and the General Administration of Customs, a successful operation led to the arrest of two Asian women who were attempting to smuggle approximately 15 kilograms of marijuana concealed within three postal parcels.

The Ministry of Interior’s General Department of Relations and Security Media emphasized the unwavering commitment of the security establishment to combat the drug menace and prosecute those involved in its propagation. The operation was executed by the Criminal Security Sector’s General Department for Drug Control, in coordination with the General Administration of Customs.

The two female suspects, both of Asian nationality, were apprehended during the operation. The concealed narcotics were ingeniously hidden within three postal parcels, transported via air cargo. Upon thorough interrogation, the defendants confessed to their involvement and ownership of the seized parcels.

Subsequently, the suspects were handed over to the appropriate authorities for necessary legal actions. Additionally, efforts are underway to locate and apprehend a third individual allegedly involved in the illicit activity.
