Twitter suspends account of ‘Third’ candidate Al-Fawzan over video clip

‘State properties must be utilized in interest of citizens’

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 24: Twitter has suspended the account of Third Constituency candidate Jarrah Al- Fawzan for posting a video clip of himself calling for ratification of a law on criminalizing homosexuality. Meanwhile, former MP and Fifth Constituency candidate Muhammad Hadi Al-Hewaila is a Sunni. He was born in April 1972. He holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science and Doctorate Degree in Administration. He worked at Saad Al-Abdullah Academdy for Security Sciences and Arab Open University. He is a member of International Institute for Strategic Studies and Royal Institute for Global Studies in London. He is also a member of Kuwait Journalists Association. He won in the 2008 election, ranking sixth in the Fifth Constituency with 13,271 votes; ninth in 2009 with 13,331 votes; 10th in 2016 with 2,851 votes; and ninth in 2020 with 4,720 votes.
