KUWAIT CITY, July 2: Dr. Ahmed Abdul Wahab Al-Awadhi, Minister of Health, has issued a decision to revoke the licenses and permanently close 12 private pharmacies following serious violations of the Pharmacy Profession Law and regulations governing the circulation of medicines.
The Minister stated that these strict measures were necessary due to the severity of the breaches and underscored the Ministry’s zero-tolerance policy toward any actions that jeopardize the health and safety of citizens.
Furthermore, the Ministry has referred the individuals responsible for these violations to the Public Prosecution to initiate legal proceedings against them. This action is part of ongoing efforts to regulate the pharmaceutical market and ensure compliance with professional and ethical standards.
Minister Al-Awadhi emphasized that the Ministry of Health will continue to strengthen its oversight of all pharmaceutical establishments, prioritizing the safety and security of the pharmaceutical sector as a key objective.
