KUWAIT CITY, March 18: Turkish Ambassador Tuba Nur Sönmez confirmed that Turkiye stands alongside the State of Kuwait during this difficult period, stressing that her country is exerting tremendous efforts to help end the conflict as soon as possible. In a statement on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, Sönmez pointed out that Ramadan this year concluded under exceptional circumstances, overshadowed by painful developments since Feb 28 that led to loss of life and multiple injuries. She extended her deepest condolences to the families of the victims, particularly the four Kuwaiti soldiers, and wished swift recovery for the injured. She expressed hope that this difficult period will end soon, with peace and stability prevailing. She also conveyed her congratulations to the political leadership, the government and the people of Kuwait on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, wishing His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah continuous good health and well-being.
