KUWAIT CITY, Dec 4: The Scientific Center of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences announced the launch of the exhibition ‘Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2021’ on Tuesday, indicating that it will include unique images that capture the wonderful behavior of animals and amazing living species, as well as document the amazing diversity of the natural world.

The Scientific Center said in a press statement Saturday that the exhibition will open its doors free of charge to the public in the center’s building in Salmiya, and will continue until the end of December. The statement added that the exhibition, which will be sponsored by the Director General of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, Dr. Khaled Al-Fadhel, will reveal the pictures that won awards for the year 2021, including the amazing picture of Kuwaiti photographer Majed Al-Zaabi, who won first place in the category ‘animal portraiture’ in the annual competition organized by the British Museum of Natural and Special History.

He stated that the exhibition invests the unique emotional power of photography to enhance scientific knowledge by engaging and inspiring audiences. The images also shed light on a number of wonderful stories and living species around the world and call for the protection of the future of the planet. The exhibition ‘Wildlife Photographer’ is the most famous event of its kind in the field of photography, as it provides a global platform that displays the most challenging and surprising scenes of the natural world, and it has been an exhibition that has been going on for more than 55 years.(KUNA)
