Trump Warns Iran: US Will Destroy One Bridge or Power Plant for Every Strait of Hormuz Attack

WASHINGTON, Jul 22: US President Donald Trump warned Iran that Washington would destroy one bridge or power plant for every attack carried out against ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement posted on social media, Trump said the United States would respond to any Iranian missile, rocket, drone or other weapons attack targeting vessels in the strategic waterway by striking Iranian infrastructure.

“From this point forward, any time the Islamic Republic of Iran shoots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, whether it be by Missile, Rocket, Drone, or any other device or weapon, the United States will bomb and destroy ONE BRIDGE OR POWER PLANT,” Trump said.

The warning comes amid escalating military exchanges between the US and Iran, with attacks increasing on both sides and efforts for an interim agreement to end the conflict facing renewed uncertainty.

The Strait of Hormuz, a key global energy route, has remained a major flashpoint as tensions between Washington and Tehran continue to rise.
