Trump Warns Full-Scale War With Iran Could Resume Without ‘100%’ of US Demands Met

WASHINGTON, Jul 25: US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that the United States could return to a full-scale war with Iran if Washington does not get “100% of what we want,” according to a report.

Speaking in a phone interview with French news channel LCI, Trump said military action could resume if a complete agreement was not reached.

“If we don't get 100% of what we want, absolutely,” Trump said when asked whether a full-scale conflict with Iran remained possible.

The remarks came after reports that Trump had halted planned US strikes on Iran on Friday, ending nearly two weeks of daily attacks. According to Axios, Trump approved strike plans for 13 consecutive days before deciding not to authorize a new operation presented on Friday.

It remains unclear whether the pause represents a temporary halt or a broader change in US strategy, with the military continuing to prepare options for possible future operations.

Responding to a question about European allies, Trump said: “They're lucky they have me as their friend.”

The US president also declined to comment on whether he was considering additional tariffs on the European Union.

On Friday, Trump threatened to impose a “substantial TARIFF” on the EU, accusing the bloc of unfairly targeting major US technology companies with multibillion-dollar fines. He said penalties imposed on companies including Apple, Meta, Amazon and Google would be reversed.
