WASHINGTON, July 24: US President Donald Trump on Friday warned China and Russia against becoming involved in the ongoing conflict with Iran, saying any participation would be “very bad for them.”
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said he did not believe either China or Russia was currently taking part in the war with Iran.
The US president also said Chinese President Xi Jinping had assured him that China and Chinese companies would not supply weapons to Iran.
Trump added that arming Tehran would not serve the interests of either Beijing or Moscow, reiterating his warning against any external involvement in the conflict.
His remarks came amid heightened regional tensions and continued international scrutiny over foreign support for Iran during the conflict.
