WASHINGTON, Mar 30: The U.S. President stated on social media that his administration is “in serious discussions” with Iran aimed at ending ongoing military operations, suggesting that significant progress has been made toward a potential agreement. However, he also issued a stark warning, saying that if a deal is not reached “shortly” and if the Strait of Hormuz is not “open for business,” the U.S. could take severe military action.
In his post, he claimed that failure to reach an agreement could lead to strikes targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure, including electric generating plants, oil fields, Kharg Island, and potentially desalination facilities.
The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation.
