WASHINGTON, May 18: U.S. President Donald Trump posted a statement on social media in which he made a series of remarks about Iran, its military capabilities, and the media, using highly critical language toward both the Iranian leadership and several U.S. news organizations.

In the post, Trump claimed that Iran would need to “surrender” and described hypothetical conditions involving the country’s military forces, including its navy and air force, while asserting that they had been defeated. He further referred to Iranian leadership signing “documents of surrender” and characterized the situation as a defeat to the United States.

The post also included criticism of major media outlets, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and CNN, as well as broader remarks about political opponents and what he described as “fake news media.”

The statement was shared on Trump’s social media platform and quickly drew attention due to its unusually provocative and confrontational tone.
