Trump Shares Video of Bandar Abbas Strikes as Iran Vows 'Harsh Response' to US Attacks

WASHINGTON/TEHRAN, Jul 8: US President Donald Trump on Tuesday shared video footage on Truth Social showing explosions and strikes in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran, following a new wave of US military attacks.

The footage was posted as tensions escalated sharply after the United States carried out strikes on targets in southern Iran.

In response, Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, the joint military command coordinating the country's armed forces, vowed retaliation.

"America carried out blatant aggression by targeting sites in southern Iran. The armed forces will deliver a harsh response and will never accept interference in the management of the Strait of Hormuz. The only safe route for the passage of ships is the route designated by Iran," the headquarters said in a statement.

The latest exchange marks another significant escalation in the confrontation between Washington and Tehran, raising fresh concerns over security in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most critical oil shipping routes.
